(Disney) Ways to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

Hello, Disney Lovers!  All over Mexico and the United States, families celebrate Cinco de Mayo, or May fifth in English( If you want to know more about this holiday and the history of it, click here).  Pull up a chair, grab some salsa and tortilla chips, and enjoy  Disney ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

If you are lucky enough to be visit Walt Disney World during this Mexican holiday, spend time at the Mexico pavilion in Epcot. One of the first things you see as you enter the pavilion is the pyramid, which is home to the attraction, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. You can also meet  Donald Duck in his sombrero somewhere near the attraction. After meeting Donald Duck and riding his home attraction, go enjoy some Mexican food. You can actually eat in the pyramid, but you need to get a reservation at San Angel Inn Restaurant. If you want some quick Mexican food, eat at La Cantina de San Angel(I have not eaten at the table  service restaurant, but I have eaten at the quick service restaurant; it was very good)!

Ugh, so breathtaking! (wdwmagic.com)

Even if you are not celebrating Cinco de Mayo at the most magical place on earth, YOU can bring the magic to your house! Start of with a nacho bar or have some tacos or whatever your favorite Mexican food is for dinner. If you want to get creative, cut up some olives or  jalapenos, take three pieces, and make a Mickey head. Next, put it on on your plate, or your nachos(or whatever you are eating). After that, settle down on the couch, turn on The Three Caballeros, and enjoy the 1944 film with your Mexico food. It is simple but is a great way to enjoy this holiday!

Have a magical day!

Natalie

My family ate at the San Angelo restaurant once and were very disappointed by how bland the food was. However, I’ve heard much better things about the quick service restaurant 🙂 I’ve only tried the churros from there, but they were very delish!

Oh, that is very disappointing, but that’s good you enjoyed the quick service! What is your favorite World Showcase?:)
